  • Association of Philippine Physicians of America (APPA)

    COMMUNITY PARTNER

Established in Chicago in 1972, the Association of Philippine Physicians in America (APPA) was originally named the Association of Philippine Practicing Physicians in America. However, there were many members with Medical Doctorates who were no longer practicing, so the organization amended to drop the word “Practicing” from its name.  Its goal includes establishing continuing education program for physicians, providing aid for the education of physicians and medical students, supporting and stimulating medical research, and rendering free medical care for indigent people.
