    Roles:

    Organize or collaborate on various projects with community stakeholders, encompassing volunteer initiatives, health-related internships, professional development, fundraising events, mentorship programs, and public health advocacy.

    Responsibilities:

    Conduct outreach to community stakeholders through email or other methods to foster and maintain partnerships.

    Attend regular committee meetings and additional meetings with community stakeholders as required.

    Collaborate with community stakeholders on various projects (e.g., volunteer efforts, health-related internships, professional development opportunities, fundraisers, mentorship initiatives, and public health advocacy campaigns).

    Collect information on health-related and community engagement opportunities from various organizations to share with the CYFAM community, enhancing their involvement and engagement.

    Chair Roles and Responsibilities

    Roles:

    Enhance the visibility of CYFAM by promoting its mission, vision, opportunities, events, and programs.

    Collaborate closely with all committee chairs, including Development Chairs, and senior leadership to ensure professional standards are maintained in all public engagements.

    Responsibilities:

    Regularly manage and update CYFAM's social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)

    Establish a consistent posting schedule in coordination with the Publicity Conference Committee.

    Assist in designing event flyers and graphics for various CYFAM activities.

    Collect and share health-related and community engagement opportunities from diverse organizations to engage the CYFAM community.

    Produce quarterly or bimonthly newsletters to highlight CYFAM opportunities and events.

    Maintain close communication with the CYFAM Executive and Secretary Chairs to coordinate updates for CYFAM general meetings and manage official communications requiring leadership approval.

    Collaborate with the Membership Engagement Committee to keep the newsletter email list current.

    Promote events that CYFAM co-hosts or supports, including those organized by partners such as FYLPRO, TayoHelp, and the FilAm Health Forum.

    Ensure that all content and graphics posted on social media align with and accurately represent CYFAM’s vision.

    Roles:

    Develop innovative strategies to maintain and enhance connectivity within the national CYFAM community.

    Responsibilities:

    Generate creative engagement ideas for the community, including organizing games, karaoke sessions, icebreakers, birthday celebrations, and spotlight features on volunteers.

    Create opportunities for virtual gatherings, known as "meryendas," to facilitate interactions among CYFAM volunteers at various stages of their training and across the educational pipeline (e.g., mixers for pre-med, medical student, resident, and attending), as well as inclusive events for all community participants.

    Use platforms like Instagram, Facebook Live, and Zoom to host these mixers, catering to specific groups (e.g., first-generation students, recent immigrants from the Philippines, IMG participants, and post-baccalaureate students).

    Organize regional networking events and social activities tailored to the geographical distribution of CYFAM communities, like gatherings in Northern California vs. New York.

    Advance CYFAM's mission and vision by actively promoting opportunities through our website, cyfam.org, and other events and programs hosted by CYFAM.

    Develop strategic plans to enhance the digital footprint of CYFAM, aligning with the organization’s mission to support healthcare, medical education, and research.

    Collaborate with other committees to integrate digital tools into their operations effectively.

    Collaborate closely with all committee chairs and senior leadership to uphold professional standards in online public engagements.

    Responsibilities:

    Serve as the primary manager of the CYFAM website, cyfam.org.

    Update the website regularly to effectively communicate CYFAM’s mission, vision, activities, and event calendar.

    Consult with the CYFAM Board of Directors on major website updates or changes.

    Innovate to enhance the usability and functionality of the CYFAM website.

    Ensure that all content on the CYFAM website is current and accurately reflects the organization’s objectives and upcoming events.

    Implement digital tools to gather feedback from the community on CYFAM’s initiatives and programs.

    Analyze and respond to community feedback to improve CYFAM's projects and outreach efforts.

Education and Research Stream

    Chair Roles and Responsibilities

    Roles:

    Promote professional development in medical education for CYFAM volunteers.

    Maintain robust educational pathways for those pursuing medical degrees, and use CYFAM’s platform to educate the broader community about Filipinx health disparities.

    Establish safe and supportive environments for volunteers to advance in medical education, financial literacy, and social understanding of Filipinx health issues.

    Responsibilities:

    Develop and implement educational programs, such as events and seminars, for CYFAM.

    Participate actively in monthly Research/Education committee meetings.

    Collaborate with the Research Committee to organize quarterly or ad-hoc events.

    Identify educational topics that will benefit CYFAM volunteers, such as "How to Find Research Opportunities" and "Writing an Abstract".

    Coordinate speakers and panelists and prepare presentations (using the provided template).

    Work with the Publicity Committee to promote events effectively.

    Chair Roles and Responsibilities

    Roles:

    Advocate for and promote the interests of the resident community, focusing on areas such as advocacy and post-graduate professional development.

    Create opportunities for residents to network and engage with one another.

    Responsibilities:

    Organize and schedule regular meetings for residents and send out reminder emails to ensure participation.

    Collaborate with the Education Chairs to support and enhance their curriculum within the educational pipeline as required.

    Coordinate the organization of the Match Day Celebration.

Organization Building Stream

    Chair Roles and Responsibilities

    Roles:

    Oversee the development and execution of CYFAM’s Annual Conference.

    Responsibilities:

    Conduct monthly meetings to monitor and guide the progress of all conference planning sub-committees.

    Work collaboratively with the heads of the conference planning sub-committees to ensure alignment and effective execution of conference objectives.

    Participate in monthly CYFAM general meetings to update CYFAM leadership and the broader community regarding the conference’s development and planning stages.

    Special Remarks Regarding This Position

    Please be advised that the role of Chair on the Conference Committee is both time and energy-intensive. As you will oversee the development and execution of CYFAM's Annual Conference, this role demands significant commitment and responsibility. Despite the rigorous demands, you will be supported by the entire CYFAM National Government.

    Chair Roles and Responsibilities

    Lead and Support Growth Strategy & Organizational Development.

    Analyzing the current healthcare market environment to identify CYFAM growth areas.

    Identify potential growth areas for CYFAM, including sponsorships, partnerships, grants, etc.

    Ensure any applicable metrics and performance pointers are established to measure all progress.

    Identify strategic risks in relation to executing the above.

    Support and Maintain Operational and Fiscal Needs.

    Attend committee meetings, general meetings, conference planning meetings, and sponsorship/donor meetings.

    Support Finance and Operations Chairs.

    Support and manage aspects of donor prospecting, cultivation, stewardship, and budget/vendor management for special events, individual giving, and annual appeals.

    Support and innovate CYFAM’s merchandise offerings and future offerings.

    Maintain the CYFAM Brand.

    Create and maintain external-facing reports and documents to advance CYFAM’s mission.

    Create and maintain CYFAM brand guidelines.

    Research ways to use social networking and other tools to raise visibility and funds.

    The role includes collaborating with other Committee Chairs to achieve organizational and committee-level objectives.

    Act as the steward of the CYFAM Membership Directory, ensuring that contact information is kept secure and only accessible to the committee, the Secretary Chair, and the Board of Directors.

    Engage CYFAM members using TidyHQ and through programming events, collaborating with other committees.

    Develop a more secure and automated system for managing the CYFAM Membership Directory as the organization grows.

    Responsibilities:

    Maintain accurate records of the CYFAM Membership Directory and handle responses efficiently.

    Provide tailored lists of volunteers (e.g., by region or for pre-meds only) to the CYFAM Board of Directors upon request.

    Facilitate ongoing interactions and engagement on TidyHQ and other methods.

    Collect biographies and photos from all CYFAM National Government members.

    Develop a strategic timeline for improving the membership directory system over the next 1, 3, and 10 years.

    Chair Roles and Responsibilities

    Roles:

    Act as the primary liaison between the National CYFAM Government and the Regional Chairs, reporting directly to the Secretary Chair.

    Facilitate creative spaces for Regional Chairs to explore and implement innovative engagement strategies within their local communities.

    Oversee and monitor the progress of Regional Chairs in assessing local needs, identifying local partners, and enhancing engagement with local CYFAM volunteers.

    Responsibilities:

    Coordinate and send reminder emails for regular meetings with Regional Chairs, held approximately every 1-3 months, to discuss programming, troubleshoot issues, and share ideas (e.g., premed panels, community outreach projects with Filipino organizations, networking events).

    Manage and maintain a database of documents and current activities of the Regional Chairs.

    Provide regular updates to the Secretary Chair regarding the activities and progress of Regional Chairs.

    Serve as the principal contact for the Regional Chairs, offering additional guidance and support through regular check-ins.

    Present updates on Regional Chair activities at monthly national CYFAM meetings.

    Collaborate with the Community Engagement Committee to identify local needs and reassess or reallocate resources and efforts for various projects.

    Chair Roles and Responsibilities

    Roles:

    Actively engage with CYFAM volunteers across your designated region in the United States.

    Promote CYFAM events and initiatives to community members.

    Report and collaborate with the Regional Chair Coordinator(s).

    Responsibilities:

    Plan and organize social events, community service projects, and other regional opportunities to foster community involvement and volunteer engagement.

    Work with the Membership Engagement Committee and the Regional Chair Coordinator(s) to maintain an updated contact list of regional volunteers.
